In recent times, a healthier Japanese economy has led to a rebound in the stock markets with non-Japanese investors aggressively acquiring Japanese stocks. The division continues to successfully expand its client base by broadening the services that it offers both to traditional and alternative investors.
We are a strong player in the government sector handling privatisations. Elsewhere we actively advise small and medium-sized Japanese enterprises requiring equity financing.
Through our Geneva branch, Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe Limited has access to the Swiss franc denominated convertible bond market, a traditional equity financing route for Japanese corporates.
